This is a chunky oxidized silver ring with a wide top and a darker, brushed texture that keeps it from looking shiny. The center stone is a rectangular emerald-cut amethyst, light purple and very glassy, set with four corner prongs. On the shoulders you get warm bronze or gold-toned panels with a gritty crosshatch look, plus a little strip of tiny dot texture tucked in like a detail you only notice up close. It feels solid on the finger, not delicate.
The amethyst is a clean lavender purple with sharp step-cut facets, so it flashes in straight lines when you move your hand. People usually tie amethyst to calm, sleep, and not letting your brain run wild all night. It also gets linked to clarity and sobriety, like keeping your head clear. The heavy setting makes it feel like a “stay steady” ring, not a frilly one.
BORA was started by three brothers in Brooklyn, New York, and the designs still feel hand-built, with texture that is a little imperfect on purpose. They lean on oxidized 925 sterling silver and small bronze or gold accents, pulling Mediterranean influences without making it look precious.
