Small drop earrings with a short, hammered gold-toned bar at the top, then a round faceted blue stone hanging underneath. The stone is held with chunky silver prongs in a cross-ish, four-point grip, so you can see a lot of the gem from the front and sides. The blue reads bright and watery, more pool-blue than deep navy.
This blue has that clean, icy sparkle that doesn’t look cloudy. Blue topaz is usually tied to clear communication and keeping a calm head, like saying what you mean without getting heated. Aquamarine gets the same calm reputation, more soft and ocean-y. The prongs holding the stone wide open kind of fits the “clear” idea, nothing hidden, just light.
BORA started with three brothers in Brooklyn, New York, and they keep the metalwork raw enough that you can see the hand in it. A lot of their pieces are oxidized 925 sterling silver with bronze or gold accents, pulling from Mediterranean roots without making it feel fancy.
