This is an oxidized sterling silver ring with a thick, squared-off band and a dark charcoal patina. The sides are rough and barky, and there are bronze branch-like claws that crawl up the corners. The stone is a big rectangular lapis lazuli cabochon, deep cobalt blue with a soft speckled look under the polish. It sits in a low rim and gets grabbed at the corners by those twig claws, so it feels protected but still a little wild. It wears wide on the finger and has that heavy, solid feel.
The lapis is that saturated midnight-blue that looks darker at the edges. People reach for lapis when they want clearer thinking and less second-guessing, especially around speaking up. It is also tied to honesty and staying steady when things get loud. The clawed frame fits that vibe, like the ring is literally holding your ground for you.
Born in Brooklyn from three brothers, BORA leans into Mediterranean energy and old-world texture without getting precious about it. A lot of their work starts in oxidized 925 sterling silver, then gets pushed warmer with bronze or gold accents.
