This is an oxidized sterling silver ring with a thick, squared-off band and a dark charcoal patina. The sides are rough and barky, and there are bronze branch-like claws that crawl up the corners. The stone is a big rectangular lapis lazuli cabochon, deep cobalt blue with a soft speckled look under the polish.
